Hi Cake Decorators,

Paul uses this Carmas sugar paste on the new tutorial to cover the large cake. Does anyone know where to buy?

The Tutorial is brilliant and there are lots of tips.

Just to let you know I contacted town and country and they could only sell me 6 tubs each weighing 7kg @ £35 each.
That was the minimum order. Going to see if I can order it through work.
Or maybe perhaps Paul may start his shop again and stock it.

I believe it is quite hard to source however it is part of Barry Callebaut so perhaps anyone who carries Callebaut might have it. Here is a link http://www.tcfinefoods.co.uk/pdfStore/customersPastry.pdf.
Just scroll down the page until you get to Carmas, you’ll see the information and UK phone number. You could of course email Paul and ask for his supply source.

I think the Carma Massa people are looking to distribute, suppose to be soon but it hasn’t happened yet!
I love the Portuguese sugarpaste which Debbie Brown used for the cute baby tutorial, they too are supposed to be distributing, when who knows. I enquired about the Massa when Paul first used it I think on the vintage rose tutorial. I was also put off by the price and their hefy minimum order. I did post on the site back then but I can’t find my original posting so couldn’t link. I thought perhaps tcf would have brought their charges down by now.
We live in hopes. x
